1. Select the primary parish, school or organization that you will volunteering or working at within the Diocese from the drop-down list.

2. Select your role from the drop-down list. **Please note that the role of "Educator" should ONLY be selected if you are a Licensed School Educator or Administrator working in a Catholic school within the Diocese.**

3. Select a participation category. If you do not know which checkbox to select, please contact your local safe environment coordinator or the Diocese.

PARTICIPATION CATEGORY DEFINITIONS

• Clergy = any persons ordained—bishops, priests, and deacons—who administer the rites of the Catholic Church

• Candidates for Ordination = seminarians and candidates for the diaconate

• Personnel (Diocesan Staff, Parish/School Employees, Educators)  = business administrators, teachers, and employees within a parish, Catholic school, or the Diocese.

• Other Religious (Religious Brothers and Sisters) = all religious other than priests and deacons

• Volunteers with Fiscal Responsibility = volunteers in positions of leadership within a parish, Catholic school, or the Diocese including parish trustees, parish council members, parish finance council members, Catholic school advisory council members, and Diocesan finance council members

• Adult Volunteer = anyone age 19 or over who volunteers to serve children, youth, or vulnerable adults in a diocesan parish, school, or program

• Youth Employee/Volunteer = anyone age 18 or under who volunteers for or is employed by a diocesan parish, school, or program
